It’s Halloween once again!
Sticking to our Halloween tradition since 2021, we started our early Thursday morning already dressed up in front of our screens, awaiting our turn to switch on our cam to reveal our complete ensemble. This year’s theme—Non-Horror Film/TV Character, But Make It Spooky—was both interesting and simple, yet quite challenging to pull off in hindsight. Not only did we have to put together a look inspired by our chosen character, we also had to make it horror-appropriate.
One of the many strengths of the Lumenvo team is that we never back down from a challenge. With every ounce of creativity we could squeeze out of our bodies, we made this year the best Halloween we have had to date. Go ahead and see it for yourself!
Donning the infamous guard mask, Jake dressed up as Player 404, alias “Not Found,” disguised as a pink guard from the Netflix hit show, Squid Game. He was holding a bloodied trident covered in cobwebs, which he might have used to protect himself from the guards or, well, spiders.
Freyr, who came as the Squid Game’s Frontman last year, hopped on a time machine and came back as Thomas Shelby. Inspired by the award-winning show Peaky Blinders, he traded his modern clothes for a post-First World War look, topped by that familiar flat cap and…a pair of vampire fangs? Looks like the crime gang is now called Peaky Biters!
Did you know that fairy tales were originally scary and grim? That’s exactly what Nona and Sho showed us this year. Wearing a red ribbon on her head and holding a red apple, Nona channeled Snow White sans the seven dwarves. But instead of the innocent and naive princess, she transformed into Snow Bite, a cunning, vile, blood-sucking vampiress that no less than the Evil Queen is afraid of.
Sho, on the other hand, gave us a glimpse of Alice in Horrorland or what she could have been like if she had never awoken from her dream. Accompanied by the Caterpillar and the Cheshire Cat, Sho traded Alice’s blond tresses for black hair, wore black lipstick, and proudly showed off her battle scars from fighting against the wicked creatures in Horrorland.
In an alternate universe, Taylor Swift had gone missing right after her successful Eras Tour. No new albums, no new music videos, and no new concert movies. Not until she made a comeback from the dead! Febby, wearing a silky blonde wig, a concert-ready outfit, and bloody scars on her face, introduced us to Scare-lor Swift. Nice to meet you where you’ve been
Also donning blonde locks is Ian, who, complete with a golden yellow scarf and a green long-sleeved shirt, gave life to Le Petit Prince, or should we say, The Cursed Little Prince. Resting on his shoulder was the lifeless Fox, and in his hand was the Rose he left on his home planet, a rose that was once so plump and red, now cold and black.
Now on to pop culture icons! David, a self-proclaimed Superman fan, created a new lore in which Clark Kent discovered his new nemesis, worse than Kryptonite—a lethal virus. Midway through his costume change, David, with a deep wound on his right eye, gave a peek at the familiar diamond-shaped emblem as he transformed into Pandemic Superman.
From a famous superhero, we shift our focus to a true princess! Dianne had once again turned her princess fantasy into a reality. Two years ago, she emulated Amelia Mignonette Thermopolis Renaldi, Princess of Genovia. And now, she gave it a twist and showed up as Princess Mia the Mummy! Her skull might have been exposed, but at least she still had her fashionable sunglasses, headphones, and a crown fit for a royalty, dead or alive.
And for all these, Dianne rightfully bagged all three awards: Most Creative, Best DIY, and Best in Costume. That’s two wins in a row! (Check out her winning Halloween look last year.)
We’re thrilled to have pulled off another fun and successful virtual Halloween costume contest. By the looks of things, next year’s edition might be even more creative and competitive. We can’t wait to see everyone’s costumes in 2026! And if you want to be part of our team—and all our team activities—drop by our Careers page and see if you could be the newest member of Lumenvo.
