Spooktacular DIY: Lumenvo’s Halloween Costume Party Returns

Did you miss our Halloween looks? We did!

We skipped celebrating Halloween last year but made sure to dress up this time. Like our first-ever Halloween party at Lumenvo, we held this year’s event virtually. And even though we missed David, the party was super fun and filled with elevated looks.

Donning costumes that showcased our creativity and DIY skills for All Hallow’s Eve, we aced this year’s challenge. But in the end, only one could be voted Best Halloween DIY Costume. Keep reading to find out who stood out the most!

Category Is…Haunted Hollywood

The influence and appeal of pop culture could never be understated. Many of our team members took inspiration from movies and TV shows and chose beloved characters.

Everybody loves Hollywood!

Sporting her dad’s suit and tie, Jeiel, also known as Agent J from Men in Black, completed her ensemble with a make-shift neuralyzer and the iconic pair of sleek black shades. Dianne, or should we say Amelia Mignonette Grimaldi Thermopolis Renaldo, Princess of Genovia (phew!), accessorized her look with white gloves, shades, and a crown fit for a princess.

Sho came through as Coraline with her crafty button eyes, while Nona sparkled with her blonde hair and fairy wings as Stella from Winx Club. Meanwhile, Freyr dressed up as the mysterious Frontman from Squid Game, and Naz sported pigtails, foil-covered teeth, and fake Nemo in a clear plastic bag. His homage to Finding Nemo’s Darla paid off as he received the highest vote, earning him a special reward and bragging rights. Well done, Naz!

A Medley of Imaginative Looks

Besides Hollywood-inspired costumes, we also saw creative ‘fits that made the virtual party more fun and interesting.

Creative and Imaginative: Check!

With the classic hit Take Me Home, Country Roads by John Denver playing in the background, Febby showed up dressed as a cactus. Her recent trip to Arizona and the cactus plushie she bought there motivated her Halloween DIY look.

Since Christmas was around the corner, Adele wore a onesie despite feeling warm inside. She pulled off a very merry festive look for Halloween as Santa’s jolly and excited reindeer. Someone who appeared otherwise, though, was Ian with his #wokeuplikethis getup, which was a nod to all work-from-home employees who could not be bothered to change.

Last, but not least, Jake had on a ghost costume but spiced it up by sharing only at the end of the party that it was not him under the white sheet but a mannequin head. Talk about a reveal!

Are We Excited For Next Year’s Halloween?

You bet! Dressing up for Halloween will likely be a tradition at Lumenvo. We are curious to see who among us will take their creativity and imagination to the next level. Who knows, David might surprise us with a banging costume next year.

Even better, you could also be partying with us! We are thrilled to watch our team grow and would love to share moments like our Halloween costume party with more people. Check out our Careers page for job prospects that might interest you.
