A 3-night stay in the beautiful coastal city on Palawan Island? Yes, please!
Against the stunning backdrop of Palawan’s natural beauty, the Lumenvo team enjoyed blending business with pleasure for our annual leadership meeting.
Present on this trip were Febby, Adele, Nona, Sho, Ian, and Jake, who all got their very first taste of #boatlife as they—wait for it—stayed on board David’s very own catamaran! With a front-row seat to the magnificent sunsets, cool evening breeze, and soothing waves, it almost felt like we were back sailing in Boracay, watching the sun slowly give way to the night.
With only three full days in Puerto Princesa, we immediately got down to business, evaluating our current projects and our company’s growth plan. We also made the most of our stay by exploring the wonders this paradise offers.
Like our leadership meeting in Manila last year, we gathered for an intimate and focused discussion at Lilim Café, savoring a delightful range of meals from Continental Breakfast to classic Filipino favorites.
As we relished our delectable food choices, we engaged in detailed conversations about each of our clients and explored ways to better assist them in achieving their digital marketing objectives. We also evaluated our ongoing marketing campaigns and assessed our success metrics to ensure our outputs meet the high standards and quality our clients expect from us.
Importantly, we discussed the welfare of each team member, ensuring everyone stayed on track with their deliverables while maintaining a harmonious work-life balance in our remote setup. With our bellies full and our determination to uphold excellence in our craft even stronger, we set off to enjoy the breathtaking sights of Puerto Princesa.
What’s not to love about this paradise? While Puerto Princesa is best known for its breathtaking underground river, it also has magnificent beaches with crystal-clear waters and many exciting activities. Here’s how we made the most of this paradise’s treasures!
Being at the heart of the national park was indeed a remarkable experience. Even if some feared the dark, we did not skip the underground river tour. We couldn’t help marveling at the impressive rock formations inside, but we made sure to keep our mouths closed in case the bats wanted to welcome us with their gifts.
This activity tested our endurance, strength, and determination. We had to hike up a side of a small mountain to reach the elevated site for the zipline ride. At the top, while not everyone on the team dared to conquer their fears, the brave ones put on the safety straps and screamed their lungs out as they flew over the pristine blue waters on an 800m zipline.
After the thrilling zipline ride, we boarded a paddleboat to explore the mangrove forest. Our friendly tour guide shared interesting facts about the mangrove trees and their contribution to the bustling wildlife in Puerto Princesa and even treated us to a mangrove-inspired song as we gently glided across the river. Thank heavens there were no crocodiles around!
Capping our Palawan getaway was our Honda Bay adventure. We sailed to Cowrie Island, one of the many islands in the bay, breathed in fresh air, soaked up the sun, and bathed in the calm blue waters. Jake, Sho, and Ian learned the basics of paddleboarding and kayaking while Nona and Febby took as many photos and videos as possible. The rest enjoyed the sand and the sumptuous food.
Three years since Lumenvo’s light started shining brightly, the team has had a fantastic time exploring different places in the Philippines. From celebrating our Christmas Party in Dumaguete to racing around Manila and off-roading in Rizal, we surely know how to make our work life extra fun. Of course, our biggest thank you to David for making all these happen!
Until our next Lumenvo adventure!
