Lumenvo Celebrates a Spectacular Boracay Christmas Getaway

Working at home means hardly seeing one another except for our daily morning video calls. That’s why having this extraordinary opportunity to see and be with each other for three days—in no less than the beautiful Boracay Island—is a wonderful gift from the best leader in the world, David.

Enduring hours of travel time from Manila, Cebu, Dumaguete, and the US, the Lumenvo team was together once again. And with our newbies Ford and Freyr on board, the whole gang was bigger than ever since our Christmas party in Kookoo’s Nest last year.

Secret Santa, Culinary Delights, and Festive Surprises

One way to enjoy the Boracay experience is to indulge in the island’s delicious treats. Our palates embarked on savoring an expansive array of sumptuous foods. We loved the prawns, crabs, and other kinds of seafood at Hennan Sapphire Buffet, where we met and spent time with Gus, one of our clients and the owner of Pacific Auto Auctions.

At Two Seasons, we indulged in the irresistible flavors of the best-selling four-cheese pizza, oyster sisig, and the sizzling bulalo—a Filipino dish featuring succulent beef marrow served on a hot plate. Sur Boracay added to the experience with cocktails, beers, and spirits.

Beyond the culinary escapade, we immersed ourselves in games that tested our wit, creativity, and luck. Victors walked away with hot items, cash prizes, and coveted paid offset hours.

Like our memorable anniversary celebration in Manila earlier this year, we eagerly embraced the challenge to win the Amazing Race Boracay Edition. Through photo snaps, riddle decoding, TikTok dance challenges, and friendly competition, we navigated the island’s wonders.

However, as the festive spirit of Christmas enveloped us, we set aside our competitive edge to revel in each other’s company and partake in the joy of gift-giving. New team members Freyr and Ford showcased their impeccable dancing talents, Febby and Adele brought delight with their fun-tastic Lummie Awards, and David surprised us with festive red envelopes.

Sunsets, Sands, and Boundless Adventures

Trying out the popular water activities in Boracay is a must. We even made a checklist to ensure we experienced as many as possible!

Upon our arrival, our top priority was observing the sunset while aboard a paraw, a traditional outrigger canoe sailboat widely embraced in the Visayan region of the Philippines. However, as it seemed like everyone had the same idea for Paraw Sailing, we patiently queued up to savor the breathtaking sunset view.

We saved all the other exciting adventures for the next day, dedicating an entire day to reveling in the crystal-clear waters beneath the deep blue sky and radiant sun.

Wearing comfortable attire and armed with sunscreen, we island-hopped from one captivating destination to another, uncovering the hidden treasures that make Boracay renowned. Our exploration included the iconic Puka Beach and marveling at diverse fish species while snorkeling. We also indulged in a hearty lunch in Tambisaan Beach and seized the opportunity to strike poses during the KawaBath experience.

We braved a short hike toward the magnificent Crystal Cove and, shortly after, ventured into the sea depths donning a helmet. Witnessing marine life and coral reefs firsthand from an underwater perspective made us appreciate the wonders of Boracay even more.

Making More Memories Together

Our Lumenvo Christmas Celebration 2023 surpassed all expectations! We’re grateful for the chance to come together in paradise with the entire team, even for a short time. We can’t wait for next year’s holiday surprises!
